On Saturday, 18 April 2015, the course on Taiwanese culture (taught by Jens Damm) spent one day in Kaohsiung: first, we visited the
Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, where we were given a brief introduction to the museum, especially on various representations of 'Buddha' ranging from Song China, the Japanese period in Taiwan until the works of more recent Taiwanese artists. Afterwards, we walked through the permanent exhibition and finally enjoyed the works of the Japanese artist Kusama Yayoi, A Dream I Dreamed. Afterwards, lunch at the
Kaohsiung Hakka Cultural Museum.
